What is Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)?

MFA is a login process that requires you to enter a password and an additional piece of information to confirm your identity when you log in to your account. For example, you may be asked to enter a code that is sent to you as a text or voicemail.

Why does Calm Health use MFA?

MFA helps keep you and your personal information safe and secure. Using MFA adds an extra layer of security to your account and helps prevent unauthorized access if your password is stolen or compromised.

How to set up MFA

Setting up MFA is simple, takes just a moment, and will help keep your personal information safe and secure. You will be asked to provide a phone number where a 6-digit code will be sent to verify your identity. You can choose to have the code sent to you as a text or voicemail, whichever you prefer. Please follow the steps below:

Step 1
When you log in to Calm Health, you’ll see a new message that says “Secure Your Account.”

Step 2
Enter the phone number that you want the 6-digit code sent to.

Step 3
Choose whether to receive the code by text message or voicemail. (If the number you entered was a cellphone, either option should work. If you entered a landline number, you should choose the voice call option).

After you have set up MFA

Calm Health may ask you to re-authenticate using MFA from time-to-time to ensure your account is safe and secure. When this happens, you will be prompted to enter a 6-digit code sent to the phone number previously provided. You can choose to have that code sent to you as a text or voicemail.
